The Nissan Skyline GT-R was released in January 1999 as the sequel to the V-Spek (R34) Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33). It underwent a facelift in 2000 and ceased production in 2002.
Compared to the R33, the R34 has a shorter wheelbase and smaller dimensions, improving handling. Like every other GT-R model from 1989 that came after the R32, the R34 is powered by the 'RB26DETT' 2.6-liter twin-turbo engine, sending its power to all wheels.
The R34 is also equipped with a 5.8" LCD screen in the middle of the dashboard that shows live engine and vehicle statistics such as turbocharger pressure as well as oil and coolant temperatures. Nismo Multi-Function Display option (MFD); an additional lap timer and up to 2 bar for additional pressure measurement equipped with an extra cost that includes an increase.
