How to Make Easy Paper Flowers
Flowers are a great way to make your home cozy. They are a wonderful gift and souvenir and a perfect accessory for photos. That's why I think you can never have enough flowers. It's just a shame that the beauty of the flowers is limited in time. So how about flowers that you can enjoy indefinitely? For example, on these flowers from napkins. I'll show you how to make wonderful paper flowers quickly and easily. In the meantime, I've already made some flowers out of paper. The first paper flowers here on the blog were my wonderful ranunculus. In the meantime, I would do it completely differently, because the instructions are a little cumbersome. It is much easier to make these flowers yourself from the serviettes that I showed you two years ago. Back then I lived in a small one-room apartment and my whole wonderful decoration was stored inboxes. So I just made new decorations myself. I only showed you the last paper flowers a few weeks ago. I made wonderfully colorful hyacinths myself. I find the development of the individual instructions very exciting and you can see very well how I have developed over the years. In fact, I still have at least one flower left from every DIY project.
FOR THE PAPER FLOWERS YOU NEED:
- Pink napkins
- Pink napkins
- Paper wire (approx. 37 cm long) / partner link *
- Masking tape (light green) / partner link *
- Thread
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Glue
HOW TO CREATE PAPER FLOWERS:
First, we unfold a napkin and cut it in the middle. If the flower is to be designed in two colors, take another napkin and repeat this step.
For the two-tone flowers, we take a layer or two of the second napkin and place it on top of the first one.
Now we fold the napkin in a zigzag.
Then cut the strip with the folded napkin in the middle.
The halved strip is knotted in the middle with a thread and thus fixed.
In the next step, we cut the ends round or pointed.
Now we carefully unfold the individual layers of the napkin. Warning, the layers are very thin and can tear easily. If a corner breaks off, that's not bad, you won't see that later.
Next, we wrap the paper wire tightly with the masking tape. Presses everything tightly so that it doesn't wind up again.
We use pliers to bend the end of the wire so that we can attach the flower to it.
To do this, we add some glue at the bottom of the bent end and push the wire through the middle of the flower.
Let everything dry well and the DIY paper flowers are ready!
