Donkeys have a reputation for being silly, but actually they are very smart. Donkeys are no flight animals such as horses. If they sense danger they stand stock-still and no longer get ahead.
They are widely used as beasts of burden. But they look just lovely, right?

Esel haben den Ruf, ein bisschen dumm zu sein, aber eigentlich sind sie sehr schlau. Esel sind keine Fluchttiere wie Pferde. Wenn sie Gefahr spüren, stehen sie stockstill und kommen nicht mehr weiter.
Sie sind weit verbreitet als Lasttiere. Aber sie sehen einfach hübsch aus, oder?
